Level 23 and Post Koltrane

So, Remmox hit level 23 tonight and I must admit, I 1) am no good at resto-ing and 2) don't like resto-ing. I healed my way through Shadowfang Keep and the HoT's are just too unpredictable to me. I've played WoW a long time and have only ever played two healing classes. This Resto Druid and a Resto Shaman. I enjoyed healing on the Shaman. It was easier to predict; I'm just having a hard time figuring this Druid out. So, and I am sorry TTT listeners, I sent my agility heirlooms over and took the kitty out for a ride.

And I don't like kitty either.

I think when I get back to Remmox, I'll set him up as a bear and give that a go. At least until I acquire enough decent gear to go Balance. I feel bad to disappoint you all, but instead of having fun I'm finding frustration. But I'll keep at it, there's no giving up in this Rem!

Moving on, we finished a busy half week of podcasting last night. We recorded episode 5 last Wednesday, wrote episode 6, recorded episode 6 with Koltrane on Sunday, then guested on the Horde For Life podcast last night. Being a guest was different. Just showing up and answering questions instead of writing and guiding a show along - it wasn't easier, just different. Rich and Dustin were awesome and we had a good time with them.

By now you've probably listened to episode 6. I was killing myself the day after. I was actually late to the recording! There was a family event that went long and I had to rush home and right into the recording, never having time to refocus and put myself in the right moment. I felt like I missed so much and when it was time to wrap up, I didn't want Koltrane to leave! I have to thank Jules for keeping me settled the day after as my mind was running a million miles a second with all the shoulda, coulda, woulda's. I hope you enjoyed the episode, next time we have Koltrane back on our little WoW podcast, I promise it'll be even better.

I'm already itching to record episode 7.

I'm sure you'll have plenty of advice givers but if you need any help with Tank or Cat let me know. I have some past experience with resto as well :-)

Don't give up on Resto. I've had several low level Droods that I've attempted to heal with, and I've always found Shadowfang Keep extremely difficult to heal as a Resto Druid.

There's a lot of spiky damage in that dungeon, especially for such a low-level dungeon, and there's also a fair amount of AoE damage. You just don't have a great healing toolbox at that point to handle all of that. Druid healing gets much easier after that dungeon.

Nice work on podcast episode #6. Koltrane paid us such a great compliment when he commented on our niche, saying that we are really the only World of Warcraft podcast that focuses on the World of Warcraft player. I loved hearing that. If anybody is reading this, and hasn't listened to episode #6 yet, then you are doing yourself a grave disservice.
